Thanks for being part of our network of magical phone calls.

After two years of building Dialup, we want to take you behind the scenes and create another place for our community to hang out and chat between calls. Dialup is a constellation of 30,000 people from 183 different countries and islands, connected through the desire to embrace serendipity. The people you’ll run into is what makes this app special.

We’re creating this Discord chatroom so our users can meet each other, but also as a way you can support us! (We know there’s a lot of bugs. You might be surprised by how small our team is.)

 Dialup Community Guidelines

Our Dialup Discord is a place for members of the community to chat. As members, we follow these guidelines to help us maintain a mindful, respectful, and welcoming culture.

  1. Approach conversations with kindness and curiosity! Be inclusive and engaging.

  2. Anonymity is welcome. You can use your Dialup username, a pseudonym, or your real name. It’s up to you.

  3. Respect each others' privacy and anonymity. While you can share personal stories, please don't share personally identifying details about specific people in this community without their permission.

  4. Treat everyone with respect. We won't tolerate any form of harassment or hate speech.

  5. Don't ask people for their other social media info or contact info unless you've developed mutual rapport or it's very explicit. Offer up yours instead. Users might not want to communicate outside of Dialup's channels and that's okay!

  6. If you'd like to report anyone who is making you uncomfortable, reach out to a moderator.

  7. If you break these guidelines, we can remove you from this community at whim, as well as cut off access to your Dialup calls.
